In a carefully renovated reclaimed-wood chalet, a hydraulic design lift connects three levels – from the entrance hall through the living area to the private retreat spaces. The floor-to-ceiling, fully glazed lift shaft enters into a deliberate dialogue with the equally transparent staircase, creating an open, light-filled spatial atmosphere that consistently carries forward the overall architectural concept.

The cabin, executed in glass and polished stainless steel, integrates discreetly yet precisely into the material palette. Beyond its functional purpose, the lift becomes an integral element of the interior design and spatial experience.

Flush-mounted, floor-to-ceiling glass elements within the shaft reinforce the transparent design concept and enhance the visual lightness of the structure.

The bespoke lift concept was developed in close collaboration with architect Michi Gehret. His clear architectural approach – defined by transparency, material honesty and craftsmanship – is consistently realised in this project. It stands as an example of how technical functionality and architectural ambition can be seamlessly united at a high level of design.
